First off, thank you all for your prayers and encouraging replies on my last update. It truly does mean so much to know I have people behind what I'm doing.
Secondly for a quick update, this past week we had the incredible privilege to spend our mornings doing programs at the biggest middle school in Taipei. We calculated it out and by the end of the week we got to spend time with and share the gospel with 650 different students who were 13 - 15 years old. Many of them had not heard the gospel before so it was a huge blessing to get to share with them. We were asked by the non-Christian teachers to share drama's, stories and testimonies with them and then also have discussions within small group settings to help them improve their english. We had complete freedom to steer the direction of the small groups as we desired, so we would always try to bring Jesus into the conversations (through relating back to the drama's we preformed or by asking what they believed and then sharing what we believed). I think that my favorite part of this week was the amount of different conversations I got to have with students in relation to my tattoo. In almost every small group someone would ask what the story behind my tattoo is (most taiwanese tattoos have to do with their idols and Gods and so therefore always have a story or significance to them, and so they all assumed that there was a story behind mine). For those of you who don't know my tattoo makes reference to King Josiah in the Bible and how he followed God, without turning to the right or the left and how my desire is to do the same. So through all these questions the students would ask I got to share the story of King Josiah, what the tattoo means to me and allow that to lead into the Gospel (who Jesus is and what he has done for us). For me this was such a special experience as to me my tattoo is a testimony of God's goodness in my life and I was able to use that to share the Gospel with so many young teens.
So that's just a brief update of our past week here, We have 2 more full weeks of ministry here and then a couple days to debrief before our time here is finished.
Thankyou all again for all your prayers.
