Most of the past 2 weeks have been overrun with the cutest little taiwanese children you could imagine as we have been partnering with 2 different local churches and helping out with some kids camps. Over half of the kids at these camps had never stepped foot into a church before so we had an amazing opportunity to present the gospel to them for the first time through dramas, lessons, songs, games, crafts, small groups and simply letting them punch, kick, tickle and jump all over us. Despite the days being long and exhausting we all had such a wonderful time having childish fun with 80+ kids and by the end of our time with them 15 of them accepted Christ (which is incredible). Our prayer now is that they will continue to go to Sunday School and a firm foundation will begin to be established within them at such a young age.
Another highlight has been our week that we got to spend in the southern part of Taiwan in a town called "Tai Dong". 5 months ago a team of 5 YWAM staff went down there to start up a new base with the intentions of building relation with the people there and becoming a ministry focused base that really makes an impact on Tai Dong. 4 weeks before we got there they had just opened up a cafe ministry called "The Rock" (A place where anyone can come and get free coffee/drinks and practice their english with the YWAMers). So most of our time there was spent helping at this ministry, which looked like countless hours of walking around and handing out flyers to anyone and everyone. We also got to spend many evenings at The Rock playing games with local Taiwanese youth and having great conversations with many of them that would often lead to Jesus and God. We could really see the blessing of God all over this ministry as it had only been open for such a short period of time and already people were coming and the power of Jesus was already beginning to change lives.
So thats a snapshot of our last few weeks. We would all love prayer as we move into our second month here,
