Week 5: Bumdi
Due to riots and strikes that were happening within Pokhara we quickly made out way to the peaceful riverside village "Bumdi". During our week there we got to stay at and work with a local church and despite having rats nightly running above our heads, our week here was extremely fruitful. We got to hike to a few surrounding villages, where we got to share the gospel with many people who had never heard of Jesus before. We also got to do many kids programs and open airs in Bumdi. The highlight of the week though is when I stranger wandered into one of our team times and after talking with him for about 15 minutes got to lead him to Christ and then baptize him 5 minutes later. We saw the same man again the next day and he looked completely different. He had showered and shaved and his smile absolutely radiated God's love. It was one of those situations that was completely orchestrated by God and left me in complete awe of his goodness and love for the Nepali people.
Week 6: Dhampus 8
Our second week in the Pokhara area was spent in another Village "Dhampus 8" (a quiet little village atop a mountain with the most incredible view of the whole Annapurna mountain range). From our first day in the village God began to make it extremely clear that he had different plans for us here. We began to try to engage in similar ministries that we had been doing for the past 5 weeks and nothing was working. All of the locals in Dhampus 8 were extremely resistant to what we had to share and no matter how hard we tried we continually got shut down. God made it extremely clear to us that he wanted us to enter into intercession for this village and so for 3 days we had 24 hour worship and intersession for the village with at least 2 team members praying at all times. It was beyond incredible to see the change in the atmosphere after these three days of prayer. God totally moved and opened doors for us everywhere. We got to play worship within a few different restaurants, create many relationships with people we met, teach English in a school and also lead another man to Christ. It was so amazing to see the power of prayer bring change to an entire village right before our eyes.
Week 7: Pokhara
During our final week of Ministry in Nepal we got to partner with YWAM Pokhara and help with the first week of their DTS. It was such a great experience for our team to pour into students who had just started their DTS and it gave our team a chance to take everything that they had learned over the past 5 months and share it with 16 students who were eager to grow in what God had for them. We got to lead them in worship and also give teachings on Quiet times and Intercession.
This brings us to the end of outreach. During the two months we saw 5 healings and 4 people saved. It was incredible to once again be blown away by the great love that God has for his lost people. I was so blessed with an incredible team and was so encouraged to watch each and every one of them chase what God had for them and willingly step out of their comfort zone to step into his will. Nepal has such a special place in my heart and I can't wait to take another team back (hopefully sooner then later)
Thankyou all for your prayers and support,
