One of the wonderful things about Montana is that, unlike the wonderful rainy west-coast, different seasons here actually bring change. As a season passes and a new one begins there is evidence of that past season everywhere. This leads to an opportunity for the next season to come in and bring around something new that the past season could not of brought.
The transition between seasons would be a safe place to put myself as I am nearing the end of my two year commitment here in Montana. As I begin to look ahead to what's next while still focusing on what is happening here and now.
I am currently 3 weeks into staffing my 3rd and final DTS here in Montana, and once again, I love it! We have 9 wonderful students, and despite this being a much smaller school then I have become accustomed to, It has been such a great and chill experience to have a smaller more tight knit group. With this being my third school, I finally feel like I am prepared and actually know what I am doing (compared to continually feeling like I was playing catch up in past schools)

This summer I will be co-leading our whole school on outreach to Taiwan, which I couldn't be more excited for. We actually have another DTS outreach team in Taiwan currently and we are going to be able to continue on with many of the ministries they are already working with. It is going to be a sweet opportunity to work along side something much bigger then just our team. |
And so........... What's next?
This is a question that has been on my mind for the past year. I came to the conclusion during the last DTS I staffed that I was not looking to return to a "normal life" (so to speak), but I really wanted to continue in missions. With that being said, this September I will be coming home(ish). There is a YWAM base that is going to be starting up in Lynden WA (which for those of you who don't know was my second home growing up and just across the border from my hometown) and I have been accepted onto staff with the team that will be starting this base up. I am really looking forward to what this holds in store for me as it is going to be unlike anything I have experienced before. Helping start up this base is really going to give me a look into a much different side of YWAM and I know that I'm going to learn and grow a lot.
So, that is a very brief update of what my future looks like. I'm super excited to see what the future holds and if you have any questions about what my involvement with YWAM Lynden will look like, please shoot me an email and I'd love to chat with you
Thankyou all for your prayers,
Josiah.
